At 360 Impact, our approach is culture change, not manager training. We believe that the issues that cause significant concern for leaders are the people relationship issues and not the subject matter or the content of the work itself. Most people and organizations do great work, but they forget to connect the plumbing and risk having the fruits of their labor go down the drain. The plumbing, in this context, is building relationships and trust, strengthening communication and collaboration, building individual and team accountability, developing leaders, and strategic execution. We know that people are much more likely to use and institutionalize innovations that they buy into, than recommendations merely set forth on paper. The culture of your organization either enables sustainable performance or subverts it. The difference can be transformational. As instructional designers, we strive to create learning experiences that shift consciousness, deepen insight, and radically change mindsets. Ultimately, we champion you to lead your team through tranformational change from the inside out.
As consultants with over 30 years of organizational development and leadership experience, we pride ourselves on being expert diagnosticians. After all, without the right diagnosis, you are solving for the wrong problem. We diagnose strategic problems in connection with organizational issues. We do so to get a sense of the skills the key people have and the skills they need to realize the grand vision. When we emerge with strategic and organizational recommendations, they are usually well accepted because they have been thoroughly tested. This is rooted in our ability to design and conduct a process for building consensus about what steps are necessary and establishing the momentum to see these steps through to implementation and institutionalization. To do so, we take our cues from organizational and human psychology, management theory, anthropology, human – centered design, adult learning theory and best-in-class organizational development research.
The 360 Impact was founded on a simple premise. We help leaders, teams and organizations build the capacity to transform their work and organizational culture by challenging business as usual. We do this by revealing unconscious beliefs and behaviors in skillful and provocative ways – by building critical skills and by facilitating the learning of all members. Empathy is a design characteristic that goes into all of our work.
People are loyal to culture; not strategy. To institutionalize anything requires that you have some basic framework in place that is surrounded by supportive organizational culture. In an effort to “get change to stick” organizations must first understand their current culture and paint the picture for the new desired culture. Then comes strategy. We recognize that many organizations today find themselves in turbulent environments characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. Strategic execution requires discipline, consensus, commitment, the capacity to lead, and new problem-solving techniques.
Our mission is to bring order to chaos; function to dysfunction and to build positive momentum towards transformational change.
Saeed Mirfattah, M.A., CPCC is the founder of The 360 Impact. His expertise is shaped by over three decades of executive leadership, management, coaching, facilitation and training experience – as well as being shaped by a diverse background, living abroad and traveling to more than 20 countries.
His engagements have been as diverse as his background. In addition to building leaders and teams, as an accomplished photographer, he conducted visual storytelling workshops in a bomb shelter in the West Bank as part of a peace project to foster empathy in Israel-Palestine. As a trainer, he taught entrepreneurship to inmates in maximum security penitentiary in California. As a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), he has worked with countless individuals to support their journey of transformational change.
Saeed has worked on various sides of the table: for-profit and non-profit, public and private. He has built and run his own enterprises, served on nonprofit boards, consulted to leaders of major organizations, entrepreneurs and startups as well as philanthropists and foundations. He has worked locally, nationally and internationally in small, medium and large sized organizations.
In all, he observed that while the world’s workplace is going through extraordinary change, the practice of management has been frozen in time for the last 30 years. That is why he founded 360 Impact and that is why he has made it his life mission to focus on transformational change: building leaders, cultures and teams that unleash human potential and ultimately create a better and more conscious workplace.
Saeed has lived, studied and traveled abroad extensively. He spent three years traveling and working in Asia, traveled by bicycle from Indonesia to Spain and later from Alaska to San Francisco. Saeed graduated with a Masters degree in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London with Merit and Distinction.
